About Pettone

More Than a Café.
A place where people and pets feel at home.
We're an independent family-run café and boutique in the heart of Lichfield, where specialty coffee, handmade cakes, and our love for animals come together under one roof.
Why “Pettone”?
The name Pettone is inspired by the word Pantone.
Pantone is known around the world for celebrating colours, creativity, and design. We loved the idea of taking something associated with creativity and giving it a new meaning through our love of pets.
So we replaced “Pan” with “Pet”, creating Pettone.
For us, every pet has their own unique personality — just like every colour has its own identity.
Pettone is our way of celebrating those differences through beautiful food, thoughtful design, and memorable experiences.
The Story Behind Our Logo

The four little characters in our logo aren't random illustrations.
They represent the family members who inspired Pettone from the very beginning. Each character symbolises one of our beloved pets — all with their own personalities, stories, and memories.
They remind us why Pettone exists:
Not simply to sell products, but to celebrate the happiness that animals bring into our lives.
Every time you see our logo, you're seeing a little piece of our family.
Meet the family
Snowball
The Elegant Sun Lover
At 13, Snowball is our calm, independent gentleman, instantly recognisable by his signature all-white coat. Once a stray, he survived a serious illness after love, patience, and unwavering care helped him make a remarkable recovery.
These days, Snowball enjoys life at his own elegant pace: sunbathing by day and settling onto Dad’s lap for TV each evening. He may carry himself like a cool, composed king, but he has a wonderfully soft side—especially for his little brother, Bean.
Graceful, loving, and quietly resilient, Snowball reminds us that even the most fragile beginnings can lead to the most beautiful lives.
Meet the family
KOHEE
The Loyal Latte Boy
Named after the Japanese word for coffee, KOHEE is our little latte boy—with a beautifully blended coat to match. He was one of three puppies rescued after being found abandoned beside a rubbish bin. No one knew what breed he was, but in truth, it never mattered.
Now eight, KOHEE is the definition of loyalty. He is rarely far from his human, quietly watching over the people he loves from within his own little “protection zone”.
He loves park days, long walks, and barking his version of hello. And if you happen to be holding chicken, you have probably just become his favourite person. Loyal, devoted, and always by your side, KOHEE is comfort that feels like a daily cup of coffee.
Meet the family
Bean
The Largest Bean Ever
Named after the tiny black bean he resembled when they first met, Bean’s early life began with separation. Taken from his mother as a kitten in a pet shop, he was later abandoned by his original owner for reasons unknown. Fate eventually led him to a forever home, where he has been loved and cherished ever since.
Now 10, Bean is small in size but enormous in personality. He is affectionate—especially with his favourite human, Dad—and confident, dominant, and firmly in charge around other cats. Almost always, that is: with Snowball, he is still the obedient little brother.
Bean is proof that even the smallest hearts can carry the biggest stories.
Meet the family
BEERU
The Gentle Softie
BEERU is an eight-year-old rescue dog whose name comes from the Japanese word for beer—inspired by the adorable white “foam” patch around his neck. Like KOHEE, he was adopted from a rescue organisation, though despite their similar looks, they are not related.
Born at the rescue to a mixed-breed stray mum, BEERU was one of eight siblings. All were adopted and now live around the world; we like to imagine they are as happy and loved as he is.
BEERU can be shy at first—and yes, cats make him nervous—but he is one of the gentlest souls you will ever meet. Friendly and approachable, he even welcomes strangers with a little lick of the hand. His soft, comforting presence puts everyone at ease, so do say hello when you see him at Pettone.
Our Philosophy
We believe pets aren't “just pets”. They're family.
That belief influences every decision we make — whether we're serving a perfectly brewed cup of specialty coffee, creating a birthday cake, or choosing a toy for someone's dog.
These values are at the heart of everything we do.
We believe cafés should be more than somewhere to grab a drink. They should become part of the community — a place where conversations happen, dogs make new friends, families celebrate birthdays, visitors create memories, and everyone feels welcome.

Looking Ahead
Pettone is only just getting started. Our dream is to build more than a café — we want to create a brand remembered for warmth, quality, and genuine hospitality.
In the future, we hope to:
- Create even more unique handmade cakes
- Develop our own signature products
- Collaborate with local artists and independent businesses
- Support animal charities and community events
- Open more Pettone locations while keeping the same personal touch
No matter how much Pettone grows, our mission will never change:
To create a place where great coffee, beautiful food, wonderful people, and beloved pets all belong together.
